Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items

1Who this applies to

These rules apply to everyone on Qamru — buyers, vendors, and anyone using the app or the site. They exist so the marketplace stays somewhere people can transact with strangers safely.

2Prohibited items

You may not offer, request, buy or sell:

• Weapons — firearms, ammunition, explosives, and parts for them.
• Drugs and controlled substances — narcotics, precursors, and prescription medicines outside a lawful supply chain.
• Counterfeit or infringing goods — replicas, fakes, and anything that infringes someone else’s trademark or copyright.
• Protected wildlife — endangered species, ivory, and products made from them.
• Fraudulent documents — forged identity documents, certificates, licences, diplomas or credentials.
• Gambling and games of chance for money.
• Adult content and sexual services.
• Stolen goods, or anything you are not lawfully entitled to sell.
• Human remains, body parts and organs.
• Anything on our payment providers’ restricted lists, or unlawful where either party is located.

This list is not exhaustive. If a category is not named here but is unlawful, dangerous, or would put Qamru or its payment providers at risk, it is not allowed.

3Prohibited conduct

• Taking a deal off Qamru to avoid fees after it began here.
• Self-dealing and manufactured activity — bidding on your own requests, running accounts on both sides of a deal, or creating transactions that are not real.
• Misusing another user’s data, including contact details or documents you obtained through a Trade Room. What is shared with you for a deal is for that deal.
• Misrepresenting who you are or what you are selling — false identity, false business details, false certifications, or descriptions that do not match what you will deliver.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech or abuse toward anyone on the platform.
• Attacking or gaming the platform — attempting to break, overload or circumvent it, scraping it, or working around technical limits.
• Using Qamru to launder money or to move funds for a purpose other than a genuine transaction.

4Payment provider restrictions

Payments on Qamru are processed by licensed providers — Safepay in Pakistan and Stripe internationally — and their own acceptable use rules apply on top of ours. A category they refuse is refused here, whatever this page says.

A transaction may be declined, held or reversed by a provider for their own risk or compliance reasons. Qamru cannot override that.

5Vendor responsibilities

Vendors are responsible for their own legal compliance — licences, permits, tax, import and export rules, and the law wherever they sell. Qamru does not provide legal, tax or financial advice, and being on Qamru is not a substitute for a licence you need.

Describe honestly what you sell, deliver what you agreed, and keep the record. Those three things resolve almost every dispute in your favour.

6Reporting a problem

If you see a listing, a request or behaviour that breaks these rules, report it. If it concerns a deal you are part of, open a dispute in that Trade Room. Otherwise contact support.

Reports about safety, fraud or illegal activity are read first.

7What happens if you break these rules

Depending on what happened, we may remove a listing or request, withhold release of funds while we investigate, suspend or close an account, or report the matter to a payment provider, a regulator or law enforcement where we are required to or where someone is at risk.

We will tell you why, unless we are legally prevented from doing so or telling you would increase the risk to someone else.
